Accountants & GST Toolkit
Accountants, CA firms, tax consultants and business owners who file GST spend hours every month on the same jobs: raising tax invoices, totting up output tax by rate, chasing unpaid bills and matching the cash book with the bank statement.
This toolkit puts those jobs into ready Excel workbooks that calculate CGST, SGST and IGST by themselves, plus an online invoice maker that works in the browser. Every file is free, works offline and keeps your data on your own computer.
Made for: Chartered accountants, accounts executives, GST practitioners, small business owners and anyone who raises tax invoices in India.
What each one does
🧾 GST Invoice Template (Excel)
A complete GST tax invoice in one Excel workbook. Enter your business details once, keep a list of customers and items, then build each invoice by picking from drop-down lists. The workbook decides between CGST + SGST (same state) and IGST (other state), totals everything, rounds off and writes the amount in words in Indian style (lakh, crore).
- Invoice sheet laid out for A4 printing, with your business name, GSTIN, bank details and a signature box
- Customers sheet: name, GSTIN, address, state, phone and email for each customer
- Items sheet: item name, HSN/SAC code, unit, rate and GST rate for each product or service
📊 GST Monthly Summary (Excel)
List your sales invoices and purchase bills in two simple sheets and pick a month: the Summary sheet totals taxable value and tax by GST rate, separates B2B (customer has a GSTIN) from B2C sales, adds up eligible input tax credit and shows the tax left to pay. It is the quick check accountants do before preparing GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- Sales sheet: date, invoice number, customer, GSTIN, state, taxable value and GST rate; IGST, CGST and SGST calculate themselves
- Purchases sheet: the same for supplier bills, with an "ITC eligible" Yes/No column
- Summary sheet: month selector, tax by rate (0, 5, 12, 18, 28 and 40 percent), B2B and B2C totals, output tax, eligible ITC and net tax
⏳ Client Dues & Ageing (Excel)
Every unpaid bill gets older every day. This workbook lists your bills with their credit period and the money received, works out how many days each one is overdue, and builds an ageing report per client in the usual buckets. A reminder message for each client is ready to copy into WhatsApp or email.
- Bills sheet: client, bill number, bill date, credit days, amount and amount received; balance, due date and days overdue calculate themselves
- Ageing sheet: one row per client with total due split into not yet due, 1-30, 31-60, 61-90 and over 90 days
- A polite reminder message per client with the amount in Indian number style
🏦 Bank Reconciliation Statement (Excel)
Your cash book says one balance, the bank statement another. The difference is almost always cheques not yet cleared, bank charges or receipts you have not recorded. List those items here and the workbook prepares a proper bank reconciliation statement and tells you whether it balances to the rupee.
- Settings: bank name, account, month and the two balances (cash book and bank statement)
- Items sheet with a type list: cheques issued but not presented, cheques deposited but not credited, bank charges, interest, direct deposits, direct debits and errors
- Statement sheet in the usual format: balance as per cash book, add, less, balance as per bank, with the difference highlighted until it is zero
